Adaptil calming collar
Collars work really well. Shelley (my nine year old Shepherd/Malamute cross) gets a bit nervous when left home alone, or when she hears load noises. She is a lot calmer when wearing her collar.
The Adaptil Collar is easy to use and convenient as it releases the dog appeasing pheromone constantly (even when the dog is outside). The dog’s body temperature and close contact warm the collar and encourages the diffusion of pheromones into the local environment. It is essential the Adaptil Collar is in close contact with the dog’s skin at all times.
Adaptil Collar is ideal for:
Two sizes of adjustable collars are available:
Each collar lasts up to 4 weeks and can be replaced as required.
How do I fit an ADAPTIL® collar?
Note regarding puppies: as the puppy grows, it’s important to regularly adjust the fit of the collar to make sure it’s not too tight.
The Adaptil Collar is proven to work on all breeds of dog, as long as it is fitted correctly.
The appeasing pheromone is released almost immediately. The Collar will not work when it is wet, but diffuses again as soon as it’s dry.
If your dog wears another collar, it is important to ensure the Adaptil Collar stays in contact with the skin. Please note the Adaptil collar cannot be used to attach a leash.
Do not use the collar on dogs with extensive skin lesions.
Do not open the protective pouch until the product is ready for use.

I've used these befor, so already knew that they work, my rescue golden retriever, can get very jumpy at loud noises, so from time to time he wears a calming collar, which usually lasts for 1 month, and he becomes a confident calm boy again, I would not hesitate to recommend these collars. P.S. I cut off the extra length and place it under his bed
I have a staffy who is going on 12yrs and developing a lot of anxiety .i spoke to my vet who suggested a calming collar,I had never heard of them but decided it was worth trying,it has taken at least 2 mths to see a real difference, but the pacing inside has stopped she is much more relaxed and has returned to sleeping on my bed which she stopped doing a year ago.It works for her and I,m glad I persisted. It is expensive,on a pension $60 is a lot a month, but she is part of my family, and I,m glad to see her in a better place
Our 20 month old rescue dog is a anxious and can get over stimulated at times, this collar made an immediate difference. She's 24kg and the medium large lasted 3 weeks before her old behaviour returned. They're not cheap, but do help to calm a dog is is insecure.
